BETT Awards Shortlist - Secondary Core, TI-SmartView, Texas Instruments

The TI-SmartView™ emulator is an easy-to-use, demonstration tool for leading the classroom instruction of math and science concepts. Based on the popular TI-84 Plus family of graphing calculators (compatible with the TI-83 Plus family), the TI-SmartView emulator complements classroom calculator use by displaying an interactive representation of the calculator, plus offers many unique instructional capabilities.

Brilliant concept, incredibly useful. very powerful way to keep the class "on board". Particularly like the way button clicks can be recalled.

I used this a few weeks ago with a teacher on the Isle of Wight using GCs with her Y10 class for the first time. We did not have the luxury of an interactive whiteboard but even with a laptop it was really easy for the students to share their findings as they used ICT to explore y=mx+c.
A winner!!
