In no time at all the students that I observed using the Cabri 3Dv2 software were building and manipulating 3D objects confidently. It certainly had a wow factor.

From my experience this is not just another piece of software or collection of activities to use with a data projector and IWB. The power of the software is in allowing students to work in virtual 3D to create objects, manipulate them, reinforce and learn mathemetical concepts and knowledge. Once the students have mastered the use of the basic tools in the software they become very competent in using Cabri in a complex way. I think it is a superb piece of software with great potential for developing new approaches to teaching and learning in mathematics with a subsequent raising of standards in students learning and achievement. I would thoroughly recommend it to any mathematics teachers.
